About Career Bridge

Career Bridge is a transition support program for selected senior CILI Fellowship participants and Louisiana Educate Program (LEP) students who have 90 or more credit hours and are expected to graduate within the next academic year. This program offers a more in-depth and fast-paced approach compared to our CILI Fellowship Program, aiming to prepare and position college seniors for the rapidly approaching workforce. The Career Bridge Program is dedicated to getting YOU hired in your field of study!

    *Disclaimer: Students who are already partnered with the CILI organization whether a fellow and/or an LEP student are automatically transferred to the Career Bridge Program upon their transition into their senior year and need not apply here.

    Career Bridge Fellowship Eligibility

    To apply for the Career Bridge Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Be a college student passionate about equity, leadership, and creating lasting community impact.
    • Be a college senior or graduate student committed to career development and professional growth.
    • Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a two-year or four-year college or university.
    • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
    • Be a Louisiana resident (attended high school in Louisiana),
      OR have family roots in Louisiana (please explain in your application).
    • First in your immediate family to attend college.
    • Eligible and receiving Pell Grant.
    • Meet the criteria for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Eligibility.

    If you are a college freshman, sophomore, or junior, please apply for the CILI Fellowship Program instead.

    Application Process Overview

    ✅ Step 1: Submit Your Application

    Deadline: October 31st

    • Review the eligibility requirements above.
    • Complete the online application form at the bottom of this page.
    • Provide your contact info, academic background, and professional goals.

    Step 2: Submit a Video

    • If you move forward, you’ll receive an email within 1–3 days with video instructions.
    • Create a video answering four questions that reflect your professional readiness and goals.
    • Video must be no longer than 5 minutes — and only one submission is allowed.

    Step 3: Interview with the Career Bridge Team

    • If selected, you’ll be invited to a virtual interview with two Career Bridge administrators.
    • The interview will last about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    • You’ll have a chance to discuss your career vision and how the Fellowship can support your transition into the workforce.

    If You’re Accepted…

    Accepted participants will receive a congratulatory letter from CILI founder and CEO Perry Sholes.

    You’ll also gain access to exclusive Career Bridge resources and be invited to the annual Career Bridge Retreat, where you will:

    • Connect with other emerging professionals,
    • Develop your career toolkit,
    • Engage in coaching, networking, and job search strategy sessions.
